bridal show nyc

I read this book maybe six years ago when going through my motherapos;s book collection.. But sheapos;s lost it by now, so I canapos;t go looking for it.

The cover has an airplane, and words written it in the sky. Or something along those lines, haha. I know the book has a story line about a woman living with her (older?) husband/fiancee/something, and one day she goes to her art class and likes one of the nude models (who is younger than her, i believe). She falls in love with him, and leaves her husband/fiancee/etc for him. Soon, he learns he has AIDS, and the books goes on to tell about his journey in the hospital, he can no longer be a doctor, and his death. I believe he received AIDS from a previous relationship in which the girl was raped(?) by her father and received it from him.

Any ideas?
